There is a lot to learn when you decide to add a pool to your home. Whether you decide to choose us or not to build your backyard oasis, we want to teach you everything!
Adding a pool to your home is a big investment, so we want to make sure it is perfect. With the amazing technology we have today, it allows us to fully design your pool in 3D and get every detail perfect, giving you, the customer, a clear vision.
We understand everyone has a budget they want to stay in, that's why we want to make sure that you are getting the most for your investment! We keep our prices competitive.
Once we finalize everything and begin to break ground, we will keep you up to date with every step along the way! We take pride in our work and want to guarantee we are making you, the customer, happy.
Once we are complete and you enjoy your pool for the summer, we want to know how we did! This is a great time for us to get feedback about the entire process and also to answer any questions you have going into the winter months.
Once we are ready to begin breaking ground and have received all permits and approvals from your HOA and local municipality we will meet with you onsite to do a final layout of the pool. We will mark out the the final location, using paint and string-line, and shape for your new pool! This will be the time to make any changes to the location and shape of the pool. Once we are final and agree on the location of the pool, we will begin to dig!
We will excavate the pool per plans and shoot lazar to ensure all measurements are accurate. This is when the fun begins, because now you can finally see the giant hole in the ground, but close one eye so you don't see the messy side of where all the dirt is!
Every pool is different and has a unique hydraulic plan that must coincide with that pools structure. We will begin to set up all returns, drains, skimmers, fill and overflow lines, vacuum lines, and any water feature lines, will be stub plumbed in the pool, ready for hook up later on.
Rebar will be custom bent and fit, to strengthen and reinforce your pool shell. This is where it gets more exciting as you can see the pools bones.
Once the rebar is fully complete we will begin to shoot the gunite. Gunite is a very strong specific type of concrete that is pumped through a hose and sprayed onto the rebar that will behand shaped to form curves, benches, steps and vertical wall. You don't want to miss this step, as your pool takes shape within hours right before your eyes!
That tile we asked about if you were sure of many times, well that tile that will make up the waterline of the pool, as well as any feature wall or spa tile will now be installed. There are almost endless choices of tile, from glass mosaics to square porcelain tile, and many in between! Once tile is done, the coping, or top edge of the pool, can be installed. This will run the entire perimeter of the pool and if you want to add it to the steps, benches or even swimming lanes. Coping can be natural stone, travertine, concrete pavers, or many other types of stone. These pieces are either custom manufactured, or custom cut and fit on site.
Definitely close both eyes for this step as it may make a bit more of a mess, as we now need to dig plumbing trenches from the pool to the pool equipment location, so that we can run plumbing and electrical, so that we can connect it to your equipment. We use all schedule 40 PVC piping, and pressure check all of the lines to ensure there are no leaks.
While we let the gunite dry, we can install the pool deck. Pool decking materials widely vary, but all material is cut and fit on site. We will prep the base, bring in materials to compact and lay your decking of choice on, and set everything to be perfect to be enjoyed for years to come. This is also a step that has a tendency to change from the original plan, so we will always do a final deck layout in person to make sure that everything is just right.
This will be the final step in the construction process, as we shoot the plaster and the guys level it out with their cool spikey shoes. This is another interesting step to watch as we can finally see all aspects of the pool design come to life! There are many different types of plaster colors to choose from, with many different finishes.
As we are in the process of Step 9, we need to make sure we either have a water truck ready or if the home owner wishes to use their water from the house, we need to begin filling the pool up ASAP when the plaster is complete.
Now that the pool is full, we will get your pool ready to swim shortly! This is when we power up all of your pumps and equipment, test everything to ensure it is working properly and add the necessary chemicals to begin balancing your new water chemistry. The next 30 days will be crucial for your water chemistry and equipment.
